Cruising Section Get Together
21st February 2020 at 7:00 to 7:30 in the Clubhouse.
On a murky day like today cruising is probably the last thing on your mind but I hope nevertheless you will want come to an informal cruising evening on Friday 21st February.
Starting at 7 for 7.30pm we will have a talk by Susanne Platt who many years ago cruised a Finn class sailing dinghy on the Atlantic coast of Brittany and Western Scotland with her husband. The Finn is, and has been for many years, an Olympic single handed sailing dinghy so makes an unusual choice of cruising boat. It sounds a bit in the spirit of Uffa Fox.
After that we will have a bring-your-own supper and then we will talk about this year's club cruising programme and finish around 10 to 10.30.
Please note that being 'informal' no refreshments will be provided but you are of course welcome to bring or make their own. We will bring some wine for ourselves and some extra milk for everyone else for teas coffees etc. I suggest arriving at around 7.30 so we can have enough tables out for everyone and can be ready with a glass of something for starting at 7.30pm.
Space is limited so if you would like to come, or if you have a question, please email me( paul@moxey.co.uk) or call me on 07450 332014 or put your name in the sign-up sheet on the Cruiser Notice Board in the club.
